Beginning the Path of Meditation

Lecture with Lama Jigmé Namgyal on What is real meditation? Can also be followed online

Through meditation you create more peace for yourself and for others. Would you like to know more about the theory and practice of meditation? Lama Jigmé Namgyal gives a number of lectures where you learn the background and basics of meditation in an authentic way. The lectures are tailored to the level and questions of those present, so that they always have a different angle. It is also possible to follow the lectures separately. The lectures are open to everyone, regardless of age, background or experience. There is also room to ask questions. The lecture can also be followed online. When you register you will receive a link for this.

Lama Jigmé is very practical, averse to “empty” book knowledge and very focused on the experience. He has his own language full of humor and recognizable metaphors to explain to you on all levels how the mind works and how to examine and calm it.

Lama Jigmé will elaborate on what real meditation is in this lecture. Real meditation has nothing to do with feeling good. Feelings are constantly changing. In real meditation you are disturbed by emotions and / or feelings, but you are able to stay in a calm, stable and clear state of mind. This is when meditation brings clarity and leads to recognition of your pure nature, which is hidden under a continuous stream of thoughts, feelings and emotions. As the sun is hidden behind the clouds.

If, after attending the lecture, you would like to know more about meditation or would like to practice together with others, you are welcome in Meditation Class A. This class is also always on Thursday evenings, in between the lectures of Lama Jigmé.
