Phowa – Transference of Consciousness

Introduction weekend with Lama Jigmé Namgyal

NOTE: The current maximum number of participants to join the lecture has been reached. The event is now only available to follow online.* Do you still want to participate in the temple? Please indicate this with your (online)registration and we will immediately place you on the waiting list! (we are investigating the possibility to allow additional participants)

* If this is the first time that you follow Phowa education with Lama Jigme? Then a basic knowledge of Buddhism is required when participating online. This is due to the depth of the teachings this will be more difficult to get if you are new to the subject while following the lectures online. If you would like more information, or if you have any questions or comments, please contact: events@phuntsokcholing.org.

Phowa is an authentic, traditional, extraordinary method or meditation practice to transform any negative emotion or any other mental disturbance. It does not matter if you are a Buddhist or not, or follow any religion or not, the practice of Phowa has extreme power and is a method that directly purifies perception.

Phowa, or the transference of consciousness, is a powerful method which enables you, if you practice it well during your life, to transfer your consciousness to a pure perception at the time of death. Fear, panic or any mental negatives will be transformed by this method, though there are many levels of transference, depending on the level of the practitioner. By becoming familiar with this method during your lifetime, the moment of death is no longer something to fear.

It is Lama Jigmé’s deepest wish to share these teachings with those who wish to receive them, and to benefit beings at the most important and most vulnerable moment of their lives, the moment of dying.

This introduction weekend is open to all, irrespective of religion, background, nationality or experience in meditation. However, due to the depth of the teachings, it is not possible to join the teachings online if you have not received this teaching from Lama Jigmé before.
The Phowa Week, which will be held in December in Rotterdam, is intended for those who have attended this Phowa introduction Weekend.

By the end of this weekend you will have a deeper understanding of the practice of Phowa.
