Learn to meditate
By experiencing the inner peace of the mind we are provided with a possibility to lead a happy and fulfilling life. Sometimes the numerous problems we are faced with seem endless. Like the ones we face at work, with our family or because of fear. It is, however, possible to detect an inner space in which these difficulties start to lose their grip on us. We can learn to relax from within and let our mind rest.
The path to developing inner peace is important to all, regardless religion, cultural or social background. That is why this class is open to everyone, beginners and advanced practitioners alike .You will be guided and receive short instructions for the development of stable meditation practice. Once a month Lama Jigmé will teach the class in person and there will be an opportunity to ask questions.
Subjects that will be entwined in the class the forthcoming time are:
- What is real meditation?
Real meditation has nothing to do with feeling good. Feelings change all the time. In real meditation you will be disturbed by emotions and/or feeling, but you will be able to remain in a calm, steady and clear state of mind. This is de point where meditation brings luminosity, that leads to recognition of your pure nature, which is concealed by a continuous stream of thoughts, feelings and emotions. Like the sun that is hidden behind the clouds.
- Emotions in daily life and during meditation
What to do with emotions during meditation or in daily life? What are emotions anyway? Where do they come from and where do they go? Buddhism speaks of antidotes. Which antidotes exist and how do we apply them? Lama Jigmé Namgyal will clarify what emotions are, what they are not and how we can deal with them in daily life.
Merely being aware of what you think and do is not sufficient because it simply won’t help you become aware that you’re angry or worried. Real mindfulness is much more; it is a means to transform the negative into positive.
As an introduction to meditation class A on Thursdays you can purchase a 7 punch card. If you choose to continue after that, you can either become a friend or member and follow the class for a longer period of time. Sustainable development of meditation and deepening it takes longer than 7 classes. If you really want to benefit from the force of meditation it is a matter of continuously connecting with it. In this way it is possible to constantly discover deeper layers of your true self.

Rate: Free of charge for members (€30,00 monthly) and friends of PCL (€17,50 monthly)
